Is this an online or in person class? Sorry did not have time at work to watch your video yet.

Hi Saundra! It’s an online webinar that you listen in on, but it’s “in person” in the sense that you can ask questions at the end, plus there are 3 additional hour-long online Q&A sessions in the weeks following the class. Questions naturally come up anytime you put anything new into practice, so the additional Q&A sessions (exclusive to class members) are designed so that you get help *every* step of the way, so that you can start marketing and getting people in the door!!

I hope you’ll join us! It’s going to be fun AND a blast for your business.

Oh man! I NEED this training. I’m about to go out and try to partner with vendors who have similar clients to my target client. And I really want this information. But along with my $0 marketing budget, is a $0 education budget. Boy, I’ll have to think about this for a few days and see if I can come up with a way to afford it. It sounds like an excellent class!

I totally understand where you’re coming from! I’ve been there. That’s why I created this though…I’ll be sharing EXACTLY how I built a relationship with business owners (and these were busy, established businesses!), and how it ended up that *they* were the ones suggesting co-marketing in many cases. I really hope you’ll join us Rayleigh! I’d LOVE to have you and I’ll make it worth every last cent.

Is it weird that I want to hug my computer screen? Or cry? I might do both.

Sounds interesting. Can I just say I did laugh out loud when the price came because the title of the video is Marketing on a 0$ budget.

I’m sure it’s worth the money but found it to be a bit contradicting ;)

I understand. What I’m pushing against with “$0 marketing” is that it’s so frustrating when you spend out to sign up for a webinar, and then you have to go spend MORE money to actually put the ideas into action. That has happened many times to me! It’s incredibly disheartening to have to use your education budget up, only to find that you can’t afford to actually DO what they suggested! That’s the worst! I designed the course to give swift return on investment and a high level of interaction and personal attention, but importantly, you can get started without further investment. You just have to know the method and the principles behind it. Trial and error cost me a whole lot more than $149 ;-)

How soon after you started implementing these methods did you start to see a steady flow of new clients? I’m not new to my city, but new to the industry – and I have been told by at least a hundred people that I could become full time if i wanted to – but It’s scary! I still work in an office full time, and eventually I want to be able to make enough relationships and referrals to actually ONLY do Photography! Realistically, how long after you start working on these relationships do you start to see some outcome?

Hey Stephanie! Welcome to photography, I’m so excited for you! Yes, it’s scary, and truth be told it may never get ‘less scary’ but you DO get used to it and start to thrive on that! :-) The timing results are going to vary with everyone, because it depends on your goals, how hard and fast you hit the ground running, who you are trying to build relationships with, and what marketing tactics you use after the relationship is established. I don’t want to throw a number out there and have people attach expectations to that – relationship-based marketing is different simply because it depends on who your relationships are with! I’m going to talk about how to choose businesses with whom you’re likely to go the farthest the fastest though. I also expect that class members are going to get great results because most of us haven’t even entered the beginning of the busy shooting season (spring/summer/fall), which poises you all to make a HUGE splash right out of the gate. People are going to start thinking about photos when spring hits, and you’ll be perfectly positioned to take advantage of that. (That’s why I’m teaching the class now – I was going to do it in a few months, but realized I need to push it up so you can get going before the warm weather is upon us.) I can tell you that what I’m teaching is going to set you up for the long haul, because I’ll show you how to not burn people out and get them excited to be associated with you, and become a fixture in the community – not just someone who sends out sweet marketing emails every quarter. I hope that makes sense. Please let me know if you have any other questions Stephanie! Have a great weekend.

Will you make the class available for those who wish to purchase it at a later date? I am interested, but with Tax season upon us and $0 for my photography business at the moment, I can’t swing that now. I would love to listen later, though.

Hi Amanda! It’s very likely that I’ll offer the class again in the future, though I don’t know when. I’m not going to make the video download available for purchase because I want all class participants to have direct access to me through live Q&A sessions so that they can have answers to questions that arise as they go to work. It’s really important to me that people feel very prepared and motivated, and just putting up the download won’t accomplish that goal. I want people to feel two hundred percent taken care of! :-) I totally understand that there are many who can’t participate right now, so I do tentatively plan on offering it again, and I’d love to have you join me at that point! Thanks Amanda, I hope you have a great day.

Hi Jenika!
Would this be a good course for wedding photographers as well? The business relationships are a little different in that situation.

[Reply]

Jenika Reply:

Hi Kelly! Although I’m not a wedding photographer myself – the whole course is based around principles of human behavior, and I see no reason why you couldn’t apply them with other wedding vendors. There may be a few specific tactics I’ll talk about that would need to be modified a little (since there is a clearer set of people you would want to network with for a wedding event, and there may be industry established ‘protocol’ or etiquette to follow when working with them). But because I’m explaining WHY this method works, I can’t imagine you would have trouble figuring out how to apply it to your situation. I actually use these principles in my personal life as well as photography – just helping me connect with people better! The principles can easily be applied on the clients + inquiries end of things. I think you’d find a LOT of value in it!!
